QA@PHEP: Training sessions organized

Prishtina. Within  the TEMPUS Project: “Supporting and Developing the Structures for the Quality Assurance at the Private Higher Education Providers in Kosovo”, financed by the European Commission, training sessions were organized for management, administration, teaching staff, students and QA officers of the ten Kosovar private higher education providers, which are project beneficiary. The three days trainings were held during 26th – 28th January 2011, at the premises of four private higher education providers.

The first half of 26th January was targeted for the management level of the beneficiary institutions. It was consisted of the following presentations:

 

The second part of the first training day was attended by the administration staff of the ten private higher education providers, and comprised of the following presentations:

 

 

During the workshop part the participants were divided into four working groups to discuss indicators for measuring quality of administrative services. In the end working group presented its result. The second training day was organized with the teaching staff of the targeted institutions and comprised of the following presentations:

In the afternoon session the academic staffs were divided into three groups for discussing the role and contributions of teachers for improving the higher education institution transparency. The results of working groups will be considered inputs for drafting a model questionnaire for course evaluation.

The last training session day was conducted with students of the PHEP, and the main focus was on:

 

 Finally the students were divided in three groups to discuss about the elements that can be included to evaluate course and administrative services. Furthermore, aim of the workshop was to gather inputs of the students’ perspective for further development of questionnaires for course evaluation and measurement of the quality of administrative services.

During the three days around 180 participants took part in the trainings. The QA@PHEP is funded by the European Commission through TEMPUS IV – Second call for proposals (EAC/01/2009).
