SHER - Advancing Inclusion and Gender Equality in Kosovo’s Higher Education
On 14–15 October 2025, the SHER Team successfully organized two key workshops, marking significant progress in advancing inclusion, equity, and gender equality across Kosovo’s higher education sector.
The Initial Workshop under the Social Dimension Small Grant Scheme gathered grantees from higher education institutions and organizations whose projects promote access and participation. Moderated by Louise Sperl (WUS Austria) and Shqiponjë Kodraliu (SHER Team), the session fostered collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a shared understanding of SHER’s objectives. Participants presented their projects, explored synergies, and discussed strategies for transparent implementation and communication.
The following day, the Workshop on Gender Equality in Higher Education brought together representatives from MESTI, public universities, UN Women, the Kosova Women’s Network, and other key stakeholders. The event presented findings from the Baseline Assessment on Gender Equality Mechanisms and highlighted inspiring initiatives such as Gender-Inclusive Design, EmpowerHER, and Words Matter – projects demonstrating practical approaches to embedding gender equality in academic life.
Together, these workshops reaffirm SHER’s commitment to building inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive higher education systems – where diversity and equal opportunity are not only goals but shared realities.
