DESTIN - Final project meeting in Poznan, Poland

Poznan, Poland: From November 9-10, 2022, the 20 partners from 7 different European nations, Ukraine, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Austria, Sweden, Ireland, and Poland, met for the first time since 2020 for the final f2f event of the Erasmus+ project DESTIN. The EU project, coordinated by the University Bath Spa from South West England, was affected by the Brexit in January 2020, hampered by the pandemic situation since mid-2020 and delayed again after the Russian invasion had begun in February 2022. These days were particularly challenging for the partners in Ukraine, but also for the other partners and the project risk managers from WUS Austria, who were responsible to ensure that the results were still of the highest quality. Nevertheless, partners achieved to realize the project’s main objectives like modernizing the MA and BA study program in Journalism in the Ukraine and establishing Media Literacy Outreach courses, enabling participants to master modern media world. Skills such as analyzing and critically comprehending media information and protecting from the influence of inaccurate information were among others in the center of the courses.

During the meeting in Poland recent activities, final steps and the project’s legacy and sustainability were discussed. Beside all achievements and work during the meeting, partners were glad to see each other after such a long time and find everyone well and healthy.
