SEEVAL Project Meeting and Final Conference in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
In the framework of the Erasmus+ project SEEVAL, the Bulgarian partner Center for Creative Training (CCT) hosted a project management meeting on November 9, 2022, and the Final Conference from November 10-11, 2022, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
At the project management meeting all partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Malta, and Romania discussed the final activities and pending tasks in this project. The highlight, however, was the two-day international conference on “Social and Emotional Education, Technologies, and Project Based Learning - the Whole School Approach”.
This conference aspired to highlight good practices of schools with vision, aimed at the holistic development of the learners, educational innovations, personal fulfilment and continuous professional development of the pedagogical staff.
More than 220 educators from different European countries took part in the conference and discussed the following topics in plenary sessions and workshops:
- Social and Emotional Learning for adolescents
- Skills for Innovation - project based learning for STEM and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Meaningful use of technology in education - cloud platforms, "1 to 1" model, eLearning and more
- Social and Emotional Learning, creativity, fun and serious learning with LEGO® Education
- Professional Development of the Pedagogical Specialists (with relevance to all of the above)
In addition to the conference program, the project partners could also take part in two school visits in Plovdiv to get a better insight into how local schools have implemented social and emotional learning and new learning techniques in their curriculum.
