INCLUSION Kick-off meeting in Yerevan, December 1-2, 2017

Yerevan. More than 20 professionals from Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, UK and Austria met in Yerevan from December 1-2, 2016 to kick-start a new, joint Erasmus+ Project - Development and Implementation of Social Dimension Strategies in Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina through Cross-regional Peer Learning/INCLUSION”. The meeting was held at the American University in Armenia (AUA) and gathered representatives from the fourteen members of the project Consortium.

The INCLUSION project is coordinated by the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts (YSAFA) and aims to enhance the capacity of stakeholders on the field of higher education in Armenia and BiH in contributing to the implementation of social dimension (SD) strategies through capitalizing on knowledge transfer and cross-regional cooperation. Principle outputs and outcomes of the project include national level guidelines on development and operationalization of SD strategies; institutional level master plans and mechanisms to implement SD strategies; capacity building of HEIs and respective government authorities for the  operationalization of SD strategies; development of resources for inclusive teaching and learning as well as capacity building materials to raise awareness of high school pupils & teachers on equal access to higher education.

The kick off meeting provided an important platform for the partners to address key issues related to project implementation and administration. During the meeting, partners also explored the status of underrepresented groups in HE in the target countries (Armenia, BiH) as well as possible fact-finding tools which will be developed and implemented during the initial project phase

We are looking very much forward to our collaboration on this project with all our partners!
