VERITAS project meeting and training on Salzburg principles

Graz. From 5th-7th of May 2014, WUS Austria held a project meeting and training in course of the Tempus VERITAS project, focusing on the implementation of Salzburg Principles in Republic of Armenia and EU. The training provided an opportunity for Armenian HE institutions to share their knowledge and experiences, with an aim to establish common Standards in PhD education in Armenia. It supported universities in their efforts to adopt and implement new Standards in line with the European Higher Education Area initiatives. University of Graz hosted parts of the meeting and provided useful inputs on the way how they implement PhD studies at their university. The meeting concluded with a management session in order to plan the next steps and get and update on important project and financial management issues.

The different profiles and visions of the Armenian institutions are on one hand an advantage, yet on another they represent a challenge for future activities associated with the Tempus VERITAS project implementation at the Armenian universities.

We hope all project partners had a fruitful meeting and enjoyed their stay in Graz.
