Higher KOS: 1st Electronic Information for Libraries (eifl) Workshop in Prishtina
Prishtina. On the 15th and 16th of January 2013, in the premises of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the first (eIFL) workshop on e-publications took place. The objective of the workshop was to ensure that the key decision makers in Kosovo understand the importance of libraries working together in a consortium, the benefits of central negotiation for e-resources, and the importance of access to e-resources for education and research.
Another objective was to ensure that members of the e-resources working group understand the basics of licensing and how access is arranged, and the importance of promoting awareness and usage. Last but not least it was an opportunity for eifl representatives to gather enough information to plan the second workshop.
The workshop took place in the framework of the Project “Higher KOS – Promoting Institutional Development in Higher Education and Research in Kosovo”, with funding from the Austrian Development Cooperation.
