BCC 2000-2010

In 2010 the BCC celebrated its 10th anniversary but at the same time it was also the final year of this inspiring and successful project. Over the years it had established itself as a brand in SEE and contributed significantly to the development of the SEE economies through the development of higher education. Through the regular involvement of partners from the business sector in the competition itself, as well as the engagement of participants in the recruitment events, the BCC had managed to raise awareness of the importance of the cooperation between higher education and economy. Furthermore, the BCC contributed to the popularization of the case study method as an instrument for the practice-oriented way of learning, which brings reality-based problems into the classroom and encourages students to develop their communication skills, team work, and decision-making skills.

The Balkan Case Challenge was a project of WUS Austria, financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation and supported by numerous companies and institutions.

The project lifetime expired in 2010 but WUS Austria is preparing follow-up projects and other forms of cooperation in the region to further strengthen the excellent network that has been established in the past years. As soon as a concrete project has been developed, it will be presented on the BCC website.

In the meantime our special thanks go to all participants, coordinators, jury members, case creators, partner companies, donors, and sponsors who passionately worked in this project and thus contributed to the success of the BCC.
