New opportunities for the students of University of Prishtina
Prishtina. The daily newspaper “Zëri” published an interview with the Regional Manager of WUS Austria, Prishtina office, Mr. But Dedaj. The interview was focused on the “Cross–Sector Internship Program” which is sponsored by USAID/KPEP and implemented by WUS Austria. The project gives 40 students of the University of Prishtina the opportunity to do internships in various public and private Institutions: 4 Ministries, 6 Municipalities and the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo.
Mr. Dedaj mentioned, among others, the fact that overall 400 students applied to be part of the program; after they were interviewed by the panel, 40 of them were selected for the internships. “The internship of students in institutions and companies creates the possibility of identifying employees and managers who could work for these institutions in the future ”, he said. In the meantime WUS Austria during the project implementation phase also provides trainings for the interns , with the aim of preparing them for their future professional life. “Two conferences were held with the purpose of raising awareness that this form of cooperation and this form of internship for students needs to become obligatory”, said Mr. Dedaj.
