Kick-off meeting for the PATTERNS_Lectures project took place on the 10th and 11th of May

In scope of the PATTERNS Lectures project the lecturers of the 16 selected courses met in Vienna to present their proposals and to discuss their ideas in front of each other and of the Academic Advisory Panel. Four representatives of the Culture Programme of ERSTE Foundation, which initiated this project, participated in the meeting as well.

The PATTERNS Lectures project aims at the development of new university courses in the fields of art history, cultural studies and cultural sciences. An international jury selected 16 outstanding course concepts in April, which will be implemented in the course of the next academic year.

The kick-off meeting was an opportunity for the lecturers to meet each other, discuss their proposals and ideas and get valuable inputs from their colleagues as well as from experts from the field.

The meeting was described by all participants as very insightful, productive and useful. The lecturers are now ready to continue working on their proposals – to go through the next steps of revision and improvement in order to have them ready for implementation by the beginning of the next academic year.
