Contract signed for the implementation of the project “Development of Information System for Quality Assurance – DISQA”

WUS Austria Sarajevo Office is proud to announce that the contract for the implementation of the project “Development of Information System forQuality Assurance – DISQA” within the project “Strategic and Structural Development of Quality Assurance in Bosnian-Herzegovinian Higher Education in 2008-2010” has been signed on March 9, 2010 at the University of Mostar.

At the Selection Commission meeting for the Implementation of Specific QA Measures at BH universities, implemented as a second component within WUS Austria’s project“Strategic and Structural Development of Quality Assurance in BH Higher Education 2008-2010” financed by Austrian Development Cooperation and Liechtenstein Government, which was held on December 7, 2009 in Sarajevo, 3project proposals were approved.  One of the approved projects is the joint project between the University of Zenica and University of Mostar, entitled “Development of Information System for Quality Assurance – DISQA”, with the maximum granted budget of 69.158,00 EUR and one year duration.

The overall objective of the project is to further develop quality assurance systems at the University of Mostar and the University of Zenica through the establishment of an information system for quality assurance, which will be based on agreed key indicators. The project aims at giving support to the development of processes, procedures, systems and structures of quality assurance which will initiate and establish quality of higher education offered to students.

The contract was signed by MSc Dino Mujkic (Regional Manager) on behalf of WUS Austria as the Contracting Authority, dr. Vlado Majstorovic (Rector) on behalf of the University of Mostar as the Contractor and dr. Sabahudin Ekinovic (Rector) on behalf of the University of Zenica as the Subcontractor. The signing of the contract marks the beginning of the project implementation.
