Graz and Vienna. Members of the Academic Development Unit from the University of Prishtina and of WUS Office Prishtina successfully attended a training visit in Graz and Vienna during the last week of July 2009.
In the frame of the project “Support to Reforms of Higher Education in Kosovo - Building Quality, Knowledge & Skills for Social and Economic Development” financed by the Austrian Development Agency, a three day training visit was held for members of the Academic Development Unit and WUS Office Prishtina. The three participants from Kosovo that attended the training visit were presented with topics in various areas, ranging from quality assurance, curriculum development with a focus on the requirements of the market to information about ECTS and student mobility. On the bases of best practice examples from Austria the participants were able to obtain new knowledge and gain new insights for their daily work. Alongside with the organized workshops the participants followed an onsite visit of the various work and research facilities, such as the impressive Avionics and ATC Technology Laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum in Graz.
