10 years of WUS Austria in Podgorica

WUS Austria presented its work over the last ten years in Montenegro, with an overview of projects, partners, stakeholders and challenges ahead. Around one hundred participants attended the event, namely the representatives of the University of Montenegro, ministries, business sector, national and international NGOs, delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro and the media.

Speeches on the fruitful cooperation between University of Montenegro and WUS Austria were given by the Montenegrin Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Dr. Sreten Skuletic, Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Predrag Miranovic, Austrian Ambassador to Montenegro, HE Florian Raunig and WUS Austria Executive Director, Almir Kovacevic.

 

In addition,contracts signing for the “Labour Market Oriented Curriculum Programme” (LMOCP) marked a symbolic start of the programme under which four new or modified curricula including five courses (20 in total) will be introduced at four faculties of the University of Montenegro: Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Faculty of Maritime Science, Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management and Faculty of Applied Physiotherapy. Selected professors will develop labour market oriented curricula in cooperation with specific corporate partners, national and international companies that operate in Montenegro and Austrian/EU Higher Education institutions.
