WORKSHOP: Challenges in applying the Case Study method in teaching process

Belgrade. On December 13th 2008, WUS Austria Belgrade office organized a workshop, Challenges in applying the Case Study method in teaching process, at the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade University. The workshop was organized as accompanying measure to the Balkan Case Challenge project – an international students’ competition based on the case study method (see www.bcchallenge.org)

The workshop was organized in two parts for professors and teaching assistants from public universities in Serbia.

The first part of the workshop was about the case study method in general – role of teachers and students, advantages and disadvantages of the case study method, etc. The second part focused on the linkage between higher education and economy through implementation of the case study method in the teaching process.

The lecturer was Dr Vesna Damnjanovic from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade University.
