Kick-off Meeting at Novi Pazar University in Serbia
Belgrade. On December 11, 2008, an official kick-off meeting of the project “Support to the University of Novi Pazar” took place. The ceremonial part consisted of the official opening of the new eLearning Center as well as the Quality Assurance Office at the State University of Novi Pazar.
Both offices have been established within the above mentioned project, funded by the Austrian DevelopmentCooperation and implemented by WUS Austria, and constitute an important contribution to the further development of the most recently established Serbian university.
Beside the host, Prof. Dr. Cemal Dolicanin, Rector of the State University of Novi Pazar, and the Austrian Ambassador in Belgrade Dr. Clemens Koja, the ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Radmila Marinkovic Neducin, Rector of the University of Novi Sad, Prof. Dr. Radoslav Bubanj, Rector of the University of Nis, Prof. Dr. Zdravko Vitosevic, Rector of the University of Mitrovica, Mr. Klaus Kapper, Head of the Austrian Coordination Office in Belgrade, Mr. Goran Ostojic, Regional Manager of WUS Austria, as well as representatives of other universities, local authorities of Novi Pazar and other guests.
The participants emphasized the importance of establishment of these two centers that will significantly facilitate the teaching process and communication with other universities, while also helping the State University of Novi Pazar in reaching high standards and enable its integration into the academic community.
Upon the official opening of the eLearning Center, a video conference connection was established with the eLearning Center of the University of Kragujevac.
