WUS Austria partner in 4 approved TEMPUS IV projects!

Graz. The first round of TEMPUS IV (call open from January to April, 2008) resulted in 66 approved projects out of 539 applications. The results show that WUS Austria is a partner in 4 of the approved projects, all of them starting project implementation in January, 2009.

All approved projects will be implemented in the Western Balkan region, aiming at capacity and institution building through knowledge transfer and cooperation.

In the field of Linking Higher Education and Economy, the following two projects have been approved:

  1. COMPETENCE – Matching competences in higher education and economy: From competence catalogue to strategy and curriculum development
    This project, lead by the University of Zenica (BiH), will be implemented in BiH, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. For more information please click here.
  2. Creating R&D Capacities and Instruments for boosting Higher Education – Economy Cooperations
    This project, lead by the University of Leoben (AT), will be implemented in BiH, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro. For more information please click here.

In the field of University Management and Quality Assurance, one project was approved:

  1. Fostering and developing the Quality Culture at University of Prishtina
    This is a project implemented only in Kosovo. For more information please click here.

Finally, one more project was approved in the field of Curriculum Development:

  1. Example of excellence for Joint (Degree) Programme Development in South- Eastern Europe
    This project, lead by the University of Graz (AT), will be implemented in BiH, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia and Albania. For more information please click here.
