"Curriculum Development and ECTS" Budva, Montenegro, June 6 - 9, 2006

WUS Austria organized a seminar on curriculum development and ECTS in Budva, Montenegro (Grand Hotel Avala), June 6-9, 2006. The aim of the seminar was to inform the lecturers of the supported CDP+ projects about the ways of implementation of ECTS (Europe Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) hoping to enable them to become a driving force that would promote ECTS further and largely facilitate and contribute to its full and proper implementation at the universities in Serbia/Montenegro.

The seminar brought together the lecturers from both Serbian and Montenegrin universities along with university representatives, government officials, EU and local experts in the field of ECTS. The idea was to discuss the modes of implementation of ECTS at local universities. On the first day, several plenary sessions were organized - both EU and local experts have presented their experiences in implementing ECTS. On the second day, the participants were engaged in discussions through their respective working groups (set up according to the subjects of their courses).

On the final day of the event, representatives of each working group have presented the outcomes of their session to the participants of the seminar. These outcomes should be viewed as recommendations for the local universities when implementing ECTS.

Please note that all relevant documents (including agenda, list of participants, experts’ presentations, outcomes of working groups, outcomes of participants’ evaluations, photographs) will be posted at web-sites of WUS Austria Belgrade and Podgorica Offices soon.
