The specific objective of this project
is establishing and developing of fully functional of the “Centers for Curricula Modernization and Lifelong Learning” at the BiH
universities as a support to the universities' development and
integration, and encouraging links between higher education and labor market.
Children’s University in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Children’s University in Bosnia and Herzegovina
aims to increase the interest in science, research and technology from a very
young age and to engage children in exciting, interactive, real-world learning
experiences. This way the children develop academic talent and knowledge,
creativity and personal growth, and they are encouraged to be curious and to
think critically.
COMPETENCE addresses the link between higher education and economy as one of the most crucial issues in the four Western Balkan target countries.
Competence@University of Prishtina
Competence@University of Prishtina
(CUP) is a follow-up of a Tempus project “Competence” that has been implemented
in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia since 2009. CUP
addresses the missing link between HE and economy in Kosovo and it aims at developing
and / or advancing procedures and tools for assessing and improving the match
between competences developed by institutions of higher education and those
required by the labour market in Kosovo.
Construction of a new Medical Preclinic Campus in Banja Luka, Phase I, concept
The aim of this project is to provide the institutes of the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka with an optimum infrastructure for its current requirements and for its future developments. Integration of the Center for Medical Research into the campus will also upgrade the range of university activities by offering national and international industrial companies, small and midsize businesses, spin-offs and R&D-oriented institutions the possibility of entering into cooperative projects with the university.
Creating R&D Capacities and Instruments for boosting Higher Education - Economy Cooperations
The main goal of the project is to establish R&D Services Centres and to develop R&D strategies, services and instruments at four SEE universities. The first activity comprises an analytical assessment of the current situation and the development state of R&D strategies at the universities. Building on the assessment results, a clear strategy that addresses the particular needs of each university should be formulated. These project steps are followed by the setting up of a R&D Service Centre and identification of its services and instruments. The elaborated measures aim at addressing all university relevant needs and problems in regard to R&D by commencing a change process on one side and creating further R&D capacities on the other side, in order to enable the universities to fulfil their central role in the national R&D systems and thus in the local, regional and national development of their countries.
DELLCO - Development of the Lifelong Learning Concept at the University of Montenegro

Example of Excellence for Joint (Degree) Programme Development in South Eastern Europe
The project „Example of Excellence for Joint (Degree) Programme Development in South Eastern Europe“ aims at transfering multi-lateral know-how in the development of curricula for joint or double degree programmes by developing and implementing four joint (degree) programmes in the Western Balkan region. The implementation process will be accompanied by activities ensuring sustainability and quality assurance of the joint programmes and providing for a best practise model in the Western Balkan region. The project is constructed as a multi-country project. According to the results of the problem analysis a common model of joint curriculum development will be of great importance for the universities in the Western Balkans on their way to the European Higher Education Area. This includes a concise implementation of the Bologna reforms including the learner-centered approach. Curriculum development includes on the one hand the scientific aspects of the specific thematic field. On the other hand there exist a number of administrative and academic aspects which have to be tackled in the development process.
Fostering and Developing the Quality Culture at the University of Prishtina
This project addresses the importance of a ‘Quality Culture’ as a
prerequisite for a functioning and lasting quality assurance system
within the University of Prishtina.
Higher KOS - Promoting Institutional Development in Higher Education and Research in Kosovo
The
project „Higher KOS – Promoting Institutional Development in Higher Education
and Research in Kosovo“ contributes to the well-functioning of the higher
education and research system in Kosovo along European values, practices and
standards.
KIKT addresses the link between higher education and economy and focuses on the one hand on capacity building in research and innovation and on the other hand on curriculum development.
PATTERNS is a transnational program designed by the ERSTE Foundation that aims at researching and understanding recent cultural history with a focus on the visual arts and culture from the 1960s until today.
Within our new project PATTERNS_Lectures, a call was launched for applications for higher education institutions in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe in the fields of art and culture. The goal is to enable these institutions to expand or enrich their existing curricula with new content.
PhD in Food & Technology & Creating Capacities for PhD Reform at the University of Pristina/Kosovo
The Project aims at
supporting curricula reform and capacity building at the University of
Prishtina (UP) with active involvement of the Ministry of Education, the Kosovo
Accreditation Agency and Student Unions in Kosovo. It focuses on reforming PhD
curricula in line with the Bologna
process and European standards, thus supporting the integration of Kosovo into
the European Higher Education Area.
The general goal of the project “Researching Quality and Quality in Research – QiR” is to promote the conversion of Western-Balkan Countries research standards with those of the EU member states, i.e. to meet the goals formulated in the Lisbon Convention and to fulfil the aims of the Bologna Process. This is done by various measures, most notably:

Support
will be provided for the implementation of all activities under the program, particularlyin tasks requiring specific capacities (institutional support,teacher training and disciplinary trainers) andtechnical tasks (communication, conducting conferences, workshops and seminars).
The overall objective of the programis to support the Ministry in its modernization process which affects several aspectsof the higher education sector: strengthening students' access to education(HE), enhancing capacity, quality assurance, meeting the needs of the
labor market and industry. Based onthe sectoral policy of Algeria the
specific objectives of the program to the
Algerian government are to:
1. improve performance and quality of higher education;
2. strengthen the capacity of higher education and research, and
3. raise the level of human capital and its relevance to labor market needs.
Support to Reforms of Higher Education
The "Support to Reforms of Higher Education" programs, financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation, aim at reforming the Higher Education Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia with the help of various measures (sub components). These sub components are in some cases the same for all 4 different countries, in other cases they are tailor made for the specific Higher Education Systems of each individual country. Below you can find the different subcomponents listed according to their target area.
The main objective of the project is to establish and/or strengthen the Quality Assurance Systems at ten Private Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo. The objectives of the project currently represent a top priority for Kosovo, more specifically for the Ministry of Education Science and Technology. Strengthening the QA systems at these universities will significantly contribute to improvements in teaching and learning opportunities and administrative processes. Self-assessment procedures, establishing of a QA structure (including personnel), regular activities (e.g. Quality Assurance Day) and awareness raising constitute the core of the project.
The general objective of UNAM is to give specific support to
institutional demands in order to increase efficiency, autonomy &
transparency in Financial Management (FM) in partnering Southern
Neighbouring Area (SNA) HEIs, in line with national schemes &
regional Tempus priorities.
Via this objective, the project seeks to support mechanisms to already
existing ideas in target HEIs.
The UNI4INNO project aims to increase the relevance and capacities of
Ukrainian partner universities in contributing to knowledge based
economic development, and to mobilize their potential as key partners in
the Ukrainian innovation system, by stimulating structural reforms via
the implementation of sustainable innovation support structures and
services.
